Stock swatches from Duffield

At the end of our visit to Duffield, they gave us a set of paper swatches which cover pretty much every stock they use at the printers, from coated to uncoated, This is really handy because it means that we can specify this when it comes to sending a job to them. I had a chat with John today and as he says, its always best to specify this or otherwise, well you don't know what stock you're print work will be on! no brainer, but its a very very valid point.

All the paper used is from Antalis Mcnorton, I know from experience that this paper does not come cheap, or in small amounts, so that is definitely something to bare in mind if i did send a job to Duffield. Hannah was also chuffed to hear that 90% of duffields usable stocks are FSC certified, which just means they have an awareness for the environment and wont totally deforest an area in the name of stocks. We did have a short discussion about the cost efficiency of recyclable stocks too, in which they said alot of publishers think its more cost effective to simply use FSC certified papers.
