Design context workshop & a ground up approach

Before this workshop I was getting quite confused as to what I can focus on. I was thinking that print is a bit old hat and its been done many a time, but its been done many a time because its almost everyones common interest on this course, and thats because its such an important part of the process in graphic design & illustration more often than not. I have decided based on this workshop that it is print, stock and illustration in context which drives me and are things that I need to know to be able to progress in the direction that I am already on on the course.
