Haiku Book / poster for book fair first artwork development

These were the steps I went through to get to this image. Ive made this image to produce a two colour overlay screen print with  - the green and the black outlines are an idea of what im going to do, however i do like the green colour. With the G2 brief i have been bitmapping my images in order to print shading, this image making process differs from that however because i wanted to suggest tone, but through lines and dots (different to bitmapping) because the screen would be able to pick up this detail and make the print look worth more (possibly?)

the actual inspiration for the image is taken from one of bens haikus:

The weight left my back,
I straightened my crooked spine
and took off running

This brief is focused on initially visual communication, and then in bespoke print production and book binding. The aim is to produce a set of illustrations to go with bens haikus which will be compiled in a proposed publication and also on a set of bespoke prints - he context is the Leeds University book fair, which I have a table at with Ed, Charlotte, Vickie and Ollie.
